Featured here is an ancient Norse style Handbag known as a Hedeby or Haithabu Bag. The style is based on an archeological find from the Viking town called Haithabu and was used by both Women and Men during the early Middle Ages.
Sorry no sheepskins, but maybe in this case, less is more so I decided to keep this simple and let the leather speak for itself.
The entire body of the bag has been crafted with high quality and durable Black Leather, red suede trim and adorned with naturally sourced Jacob Sheepskin Horn Buttons.
True to the original style of the bag, it features two handcrafted wooden handles and sliding the handles together will close the bag.
The strap shown here is a jute rope that is approximately 70 inches long and can easily be removed and substituted with a woven strap or a leather cord.
The handles are made from Oak wood and measure 9 inches Wide and approx. 3 inches high.
The size of the bag is Rectangular in shape and measures 8 inches Wide, 11 inches in Height with a boxed bottom. The bag will open to approximately 2 inches.
A perfect addition for a LARP, Ren-Faire or a Game of Thrones outfit.
